Is scuba diving in your blood?  Dive Leadership courses offer individuals the opportunity to advanced their skills in order to offer professional level services as Divemasters, Assistant Instrcutors, or Instructors to recreational Scuba Divers.  Divemaster training is the first step in diving leadership. This certification rating denotes an individual who has a high level of personal diving skill and an instructor-level knowledge of diving theory. It also represents that an individual has had significant training in how to assist an instructor during training activities and that an individual is able to assume a role of responsibility for the welfare of other divers in his/her charge.

  • Prerequisites for Dive Master- DM Course:Minimum age of 18
  • Training, certification and experience equivalent to an Advanced and Rescue Diver
  • Current certification in First Aid and CPR (classes are offered through Depth Perception Dive Center)
  • Completion of (log book proof) 60 open-water dives
  • Good physical condition for diving (completion of a medical exam form for a diving-medical examination conducted within the last year).
  • Qualifications of Graduates:Enable the candidate to organize, conduct and supervise recreational diving activities, both land and boat based.
  • Enable the candidate to effectively act as an instructional assistant to Teaching status PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor (or higher)
  • Develop the theoretical diving knowledge of candidates to a level sufficient to become an instructor.
  • Encourage and prepare candidates for instructor-level training.
