What is the Ocean Guardian Dive Club?

How do you get your child involved in ocean science and conservation? Join the Ocean Guardian Dive Club!

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Depth Perception invite you to participate in an unique opportunity to learn about marine science, ocean conservation, and our impact on the ocean.

What do students learn?

The Ocean Guardian Dive Club is a youth dive education program designed to strengthen youth involvement in diving and ocean conservation. Students ages 8-12 learn how they can become ocean stewards while participating in a multi-day classroom program using NOAA marine science content and learn basic science scuba diving concepts in the pool.

What is the stewardship project?

The Ocean Guardian Stewardship Project is a stewardship activity or project that Ocean Guardian Dive Club partners implement as a way to create a positive environmental change in their community. Ocean Guardian Dive Club students, partner organization staff, and other community members are encouraged to attend. For instance this may be a beach or watershed cleanup or a campaign to reduce ocean pollution.

Cost?

$475 (8 years old- 10 years old)
$650 (includes scuba certification open water dives, additional time required Saturday and/or Sunday)
